Rugged Radios develops communication equipment for motorsports, off-road, and automotive applications. With a growing range of radios, intercoms, headsets, vehicle kits, and accessories, clear documentation is an essential part of the product experience.
My work involves translating complex products and installation processes into documentation that customers can quickly understand and use. This includes developing user manuals, installation guides, technical illustrations, wiring and connection diagrams, specification sheets, and reusable visual systems across the product line.
The challenge is balancing technical accuracy with clarity—organizing dense information, establishing hierarchy, and creating illustrations that communicate procedures without unnecessary complexity. The result is a documentation system that extends the Rugged brand beyond marketing and into the everyday experience of owning and using the product.
